ABOUT
NONPROFIT OUTREACH
Repurposed Blooms is a faith-based 501 (c) (3) organization located in Birmingham, Alabama that aims to recycle flowers from weddings or events that would otherwise become waste. By utilizing these flowers and repurposing them we prolong their use and spread happiness to many in the process. Our goal is to bring joy to those in need by delivering flowers with a smile and encouraging fellowship! We focus on serving people who feel forgotten or alone in this busy world including the elderly and disabled in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Our mission is built upon Romans 15 and we aim to serve others for the glory of God. Through our faith we gain perseverance and encouragement from scripture which gives us hope! So let's spread the hope given to us by our Savior to those in need!
"Each one of us needs to look after the good of people around us,
asking ourselves, "How can I help?"'
Romans 15:2 (message)
"So reach out and welcome one another to God's glory. Jesus did it; now you do it!"
Romans 15:7 (message)
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit"
Romans 15:13
"After making the bouquets and arrangements for my sister's wedding there were some flowers and supplies leftover. We thought it would be a shame to just throw them away and recalled seeing an idea on Pinterest to donate the flowers. We decided to make as many arrangements as we could with these leftover flowers and brought them to a nursing home in town. It was so wonderful to visit with people and brighten their day that we decided to form a nonprofit so that we could continue to bring joy to those in need. Since forming in July of 2018 we have delivered over 12,000 arrangements around town. If you or anyone you know is planning a wedding or event please consider donating the flowers, arrangements, decorations, or supplies to Repurposed Blooms so that we can continue to encourage and uplift others!"
